A fierce and powerful creature was the Black Boar. This Huge beast played a massive role in shaping ancient Irish history. Famously the Black Boar killed, and was was killed by Diarmuid the warrior while he answered the challenge of his archrival Fionn Mac Cumhaill on the mountain of Ben Bulben in County Sligo. The Black Boar has come to represent resilience. Fitting then that this black, silky imperial stout should carry the name of one ancient Ireland's most notorious icons.
An intensely flavored, big, dark ale. Roasty and bittersweet, with a noticeable alcohol presence. Dark fruit flavors meld with roasted coffee and dark chocolate notes to create a very full-bodied, velvety, luscious texture, being aged in 12 year old bourbon barrels.
Rich and intensely complex flavors of dark chocolate, roasted malts, and robust coffee. Full bodied, with soft carbonation; finishing with a mellow alcohol warmth.
